Personality Disorders

Personality disorders refer to enduring patterns of thinking, feeling, and behaving that deviate from societal norms and cause significant distress. These patterns can impact various aspects of life, from relationships and work to emotional well-being. Adults with personality disorders may face challenges in understanding and relating to others, often leading to difficulties in interpersonal interactions and self-identity. By gaining insights, seeking therapy, and developing effective coping strategies, individuals can work towards healthier patterns of behaviour and a more fulfilling life.

For ease of explanation, let’s divide the personality disorders into their 3 clusters:

Cluster A: Paranoid, Schizoid, Schizotypal

Cluster B: Histrionic, Narcissistic, Antisocial and Borderline

Cluster C: Avoidant, Dependent and Obsessive-Compulsive
